Position:
The Littleton Police Department will be conducting a selection process for the appointment of One (1) Police Patrol Officer.
Duties:
A Police Officer for the Littleton Police Department is responsible for the appropriate response to emergency and non-emergency calls received in the 911 Call Center and ensuring the safety and security of the citizens of the Town of Littleton and their property. Scope of responsibility includes motor vehicle enforcement, Criminal Law enforcement, Medical Assists, Investigations,and general calls for service. Police Officers are responsible for adhering to all policies and procedures relevant to the operation of the Littleton Police Department. Successful Officer Candidates will be required to attend and successfully complete the Basic Police Officers course as prescribed by the Massachusetts Municipal Police Training Council.
Compensation:
The position of Police Officer is a Union Position within Local 204 of The Massachusetts Coalition of Police and is therefore subject to all clauses within the contract between the Town of Littleton and the Union. The starting salary for this position is $41,102.28 and includes all benefits offered by the Town of Littleton to its employees.

3. Interview with Department Chief, Deputy Chief and staff.
4. Final Candidates presented to the Board of Selectmen for interview.
5. Employment to begin on or about 1 August 2012
