The Gallery at the Reuben Hoar

"A Bold Invitation," by Susan Hansen
September 7th to September 28th

Ms. Hansen, a 34 year Harvard resident, was born and raised in Long Island and started drawing and painting very early on. She always knew her life would be centered on art. Inspiration is everywhere and Susan loves the challenge of her next painting.

She is an award-winning juried Artist Member of the Cape Cod Art Association and has studied under Tony Couch and Frank Webb, both devout protégés of the infamous Edgar A Whitney. Their influence of bold purposeful strokes and using a large brush with minimal fussing is evident in her work. Much of her art focuses on or around the sea, marine life, New England landscapes or simply expressing a certain mood with color, texture and light.

An artist reception will be held Thursday, September 14th from 6:30 to 8 PM.

Coming up next: Abstract watercolors by Stephanie St. Germaine, September 28th to November 2nd.
