Festival of Trees & Silent Auction
December 2-20, 2013 | Children's Room
Girl Scouts Cadette Troop 60340 is once again sponsoring the Festival of Trees & Silent Auction to benefit the Reuben Hoar Library! Do you have a favorite children's book or story? Are you creative and artistic...even just a little bit? Then consider donating a decorated Christmas tree that tells the story of your chosen book that will be auctioned off as a fundraiser for the Library. How can you participate? It's easy:
- Pick a children's book...any book
- Decorate an artificial tree (2-3') based on the theme of the book
- Please do not use perishable items or glitter
- Deliver your decorated tree to the Library on or after December 2nd for display and the auction
If you don't want to decorate a Christmas Tree, but you want to bring some holiday cheer into your home or office, then come to the Library, see the trees, and bid on your favorite one...or two...or three...
- Trees will be on display in the Children's Room until December 20th
- You can bid on Trees via silent auction through December 20th
- Winners will be notified on December 21st
All proceeds will benefit the Library!
