June 6, 2017 Board of Selectmen Joint Meeting w/ Finance and School Committees
1A. FY 2016 Financial Audit w/Auditor Giusti, Hingston and Company - Auditor Dick Hingston discussion the FY 2016 audit management letter from Giusti, Hingston and Company, incorporating DFB Bonnie Holston’s response. The 72-page financial statements for FY 2016 are available online.
1B. FY 2017 year-end transfer requests: (1) Conservation Commission: staffing; (2) Library Trustees: elevator ADA accessibility; (3) Public buildings: expenses; (4) LHS field maintenance - The Board of Selectmen vote, pursuant to MGL C.44,§33B, to approve year-end transfers between various line items of the Fiscal Year 2017 budget, as follows:
(1) $2,758 from 420 Gasoline Expenses to 171 Conservation Commission Expense for Conservation staffing;
(2) $3,214 from 420 Gasoline Expenses to 610 Reuben Hoar Library Expenses for elevator modifications for ADA accessibility;
(3) $20,000 from 720 Short Term Interest Expenses to 191 Building/Facility Expense for unexpected repairs and maintenance needs; and
(4) $32,500 from 194 Employee/Retiree Benefit Expenses to 420 Park & Field Maintenance Expenses for LHS field maintenance.
