The Town of Littleton has deemed equipment listed in the attached to be surplus departmental equipment, and will be
seeking bids on said equipment through January 31st 2012 at
11:00am. All property will be awarded to the highest bid received in
writing by the deadline. Please see the information here for a listing of
equipment and bid details. Bids were opened at 11:15am on January 31, 2012
at the Police Station in the Public Meeting room. Each piece of surplus
equipment will be awarded to the responsive bidder offering the highest price
for the equipment described.

Permanent Municipal Building Committee
In accordance with
M.G.L. c. 30, §39M, the Town of Littleton will receive sealed bids for the LITTLETON
TRACK AND FIELD IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT until
11:00 A.M. on February 29, 2012, at the Littleton Town Hall, 37 Shattuck Street,
Littleton, MA 01460, Office of the Town Administrator, Room 306, Attn: PMBC. The LITTLETON TRACK AND FIELD IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
will include the installation of a new synthetic track, new track and field
event areas, fencing, drainage improvements and related site improvements. No person shall be given access to
the site without first passing a Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI)
check.
Copies of the Contract Documents, prepared by Gale
Associates, Inc., may be obtained at
the offices of Gale Associates, Inc., 163 Libbey Industrial Parkway, Weymouth,
MA, 02189, after 11:00 A.M. on February 1, 2012, for a refundable fee of
$50. Payment shall be by cash, company
check, treasurer’s check, cashier’s check or money order, payable to Gale
Associates, Inc.

LITTLETON
COMMON SEWER FEASIBILITY STUDY COMMITTEE
The Town of
Littleton requests proposal for engineering services described below through the
Littleton Common Sewer Feasibility Committee (LCSFC). Sealed quotes will
be received by the Littleton Board of Selectmen, 37 Shattuck St, Littleton,
Massachusetts 01460 until 11:30 a.m. on March 1, 2012, at which time they will
be opened and read aloud. Email jgibbons@littletonma.org for detailed information.
Project
Overview
Three (3)
properties will be investigated for subsurface sewage disposal. The Town will
provide the back hoe with operator, permission to access the properties, police
details as needed and a representative from the LCSFC will be present during
the test to represent the Town.
Scope of
Services
Task 1 –
Soil Evaluation
The
Engineer shall conduct on-site soil evaluation at up to three locations
provided by the Town, the work shall be conducted by a Massachusetts Certified
Soil Evaluator or other qualified professional. At least one percolation test
and two deep hole tests shall be conducted at each site as determined by the
soil evaluator. The soil evaluator shall witness and log deep test holes to a
minimum depth of 10 feet. Title V of the State Environmental Code shall govern
the procedures for conducting the testing and logging data. A report
summarizing the findings including test hole logs and depth to estimated
seasonal high groundwater shall be provided. The cost estimate should be
based on one day of field work.
Task 2 –
Groundwater Mounding Analysis
The
engineer shall provide the LCSFC with summary report which shall include a
mounding analysis based on the volume and rate of water per unit area that can
be disposed on each property.
