Road Reclamation & Paving 2009

CONTRACT: 6/22/09-3

Sealed bids will be received by the Littleton Highway Department, 39 Ayer Road, P.O. Box 1305, Littleton, Massachusetts 01460 until 8:00 a.m. 6/22/09, at which time they will be opened and read aloud.

The scope of work includes the reclamation and paving of various roads and sections of roads within the Town of Littleton. The work entails minor reclamation of existing bituminous concrete pavements (Manchester Drive); re-grading the road base for paving; furnishing and installing bituminous concrete paving (Manchester Drive & Norfolk Drive); furnishing and installing bituminous concrete berms; furnishing and installing associated bituminous concrete handwork; and other incidental work.

Specifications and bid forms are available between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, from Littleton Highway Department, 39 Ayer Road, P.O. Box 1305, Littleton, MA.

The Bidders attention is called to the requirements and conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract as determined by the Department of Labor and Industries under the provisions of the MGL, Chapter 149, Section 26-27D inclusive.

Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid price payable to the “Town of Littleton”. No proposal may be withdrawn within thirty (30) days of the designated bid opening date.

Proposals are to be delivered in person or by mail to the PMBC Office at the Littleton Electric Light and Water Departments at 39 Ayer Rd, Littleton Ma 01460. All proposals must be received by 2:00 p.m. on July 2, 2009 to be considered. Proposals delivered by fax or by electronic mail will not be considered.
