Official meeting minutes will be posted when approved by the Board. | December 16, 2008 Board of Selectmen - Finance Committee - School Committee Joint Meeting Summary 1A. FY 2009 Update - for the current fiscal year, the Town is making preparations for potential 10% reduction in State Aid, which would amount to $99,000 or 1.5% of department budget appropriations. On 12/15/08, the Board of Selectmen instituted a hiring freeze policy. 1B. FY 2010 Preliminary Budget Prognosis - the preliminary FY 2010 budget prepared by the Assistant Town Administrator for Finance and Budget assumes a 10% decrease in State Aid next year, and proposes level funded budgets on the Town side. See proposal. - Cemetery Commission - revisit proposals to make the Cemetery Commission's operations self-sufficient
- Facilities Manager position - Town and School Administrations to prepare for the next joint meeting of the BOS/FC/SC on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at 7:30 PM a cost benefit analysis of a facilities manager position to be shared by the Town and Schools. 2. MGL C.39,§23B clause 3 – Executive Session – contract strategy - vote, pursuant to MGL C.39,§23B clause 3 to go into executive session for the purpose of conducting strategy with respect to collective bargaining, and not to convene in open session thereafter [Roll call vote:5-0]
