October 8, 2009 Board of Selectmen Meeting Summary 

1. Littleton Common Overlay District - The Board of Selectmen met jointly with the Planning Board to continue the discussion with MAPC on the Littleton Common Overlay District study, reviewing a revised draft for by-law for Area B. The determination was made to continue to work on proposed zoning amendments for Areas A, B, and C, with the goal of bringing those to the May 3, 2010 Annual Town Meeting.

• The Board of Selectmen voted to request that the MAPC Executive Director approve an extension of the technical assistance which MAPC is providing for the Town of Littleton under the District Local Technical Assistance (DLTA) program for the Littleton Common Overlay District project.

2. November 9, 2009 Special Town Meeting - The Board of Selectmen voted as follows relative to the November 9, 2009 Special Town Meeting warrant, which closes at noon on Friday, October 9, 2009:

• to remove from the warrant the article previously inserted for roadway borrowing.  This article will be revisited for the May 3, 2010 Annual Town Meeting.
• to insert an article for the acceptance of Sleigh Ride Lane as a public way, and to schedule a road layout hearing thereon for October 19, 2009 at 7:30 PM
• to approve the order in which the articles appear on the warrant as presented by the Town Administrator.
