March 27, 2010 Board of Selectmen Meeting Summary

An emergency meeting of the Littleton Board of Selectmen was convened at 12:35 PM on Saturday, March 27, 2010  due to flooding conditions. Present were Selectmen McCurdy, Knox, and Karr.

The Board of Selectmen voted to declare a state of emergency in the Spectacle Pond area due to recent flooding conditions. (Motion by Selectman Knox, seconded by Selectman Karr. Passed unanimously)

The Board of Selectmen voted to request assistance from the Littleton Light and Water Department for flooded residents to gain access to their property (Motion by Karr, seconded by Knox. Passed unanimously)

  • Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick has requested federal assistance for individuals, households and businesses impacted by recent flooding. Read more. The Governor's emergency declaration included Middlesex County, which includes the Town of Littleton.
  • 3/29/10 update from FEMA: federal disaster aid has been made available for Massachusetts to supplement state and local recovery efforts in the area struck by severe storms and flooding beginning on March 12, 2010, and continuing. Read more.
