July 29, 2010 Board of Selectmen Meeting Summary

1. Sign By-law Review Committee Report/ Presentation - Joint Meeting with the Planning Board, and Zoning Board of Appeals. The Sign By-law Review Committee presented its report and recommendations at a joint meeting with the Board of Selectmen, Planning Board, and Zoning Board of Appeals. See the PowerPoint presentation. The Board of Selectmen will schedule further discussion at a future meeting. 

2. Village/Farms on the Common – Joint Meeting with the Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals, Board of Health, and Conservation Commission. The joint meeting was a general policy discussion about the Village/Farms on the Common property. Further meetings will be scheduled. Read more about Chapter 40B projects in Littleton

3. Executive Session: MGL C.30A,§21(a)(3) Litigation Strategy - The Board of Selectmen voted, pursuant to MGL C.30A,§21, subsection (a), clause 3 to convene in executive session to discuss strategy with respect to litigation in the matter of Silberberg v. Littleton, since an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the litigating position of the board; and not to convene in open session thereafter [Roll call vote: 4-0]
