| Annual Town Election this Saturday, May 10th. See the ballot questions, and list of candidates for elected positions to the filled at the Saturday, May 10, 2008 Annual Town Election. Polls open from 8 AM to 8 PM at the Charles Forbes Kaye Gymnasium, Littleton Middle School, 55 Russell Street. Town Meeting is history. Voters completed action on the 2008 Annual Town Meeting on Tuesday, May 6th, including the FY 2009 Operating Budget for $29.6-million. On Monday, May 5th, voters completed action on the Special Town Meeting, approving borrowing for roadway improvements, police station design, and Russell Street School feasibility. Read more. Town Board Openings: The Board of Selectmen is accepting applications for positions on these town boards: Community Preservation Committee, Council on Aging, Disability Commission, Open Space and Recreation Plan Implementation Committee, and Permanent Municipal Building Committee. To address the condition of local roads in Littleton, the Board of Selectmen voted on March 10, 2008 to support an $8-million roadway improvement plan, which would be funded inside the property tax levy limit, without any overrides of Proposition 2 1/2. Participate in a public forum to be held on Wednesday, May 21st at 7 PM at the Middle School Cafetorium. Economic Development Strategic Plan and Expedited Permitting projects are commencing with the help of a team from MAPC. IBM, Cisco approved as "priority development sites."
