Appointing Authorities: Permitting Boards & Departments
On April 26, 2010, the Board of Selectmen unanimously voted to establish a nine-member committee to study the organizational structure of the permitting boards and departments. The current organizational structure is summarized in the table below. The Board of Selectmen, Planning Board, and Board of Health are elected by the voters. The Conservation Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals are appointed by the Board of Selectmen.
