Littleton Track Feasibility Study
Article 11 of the May 4, 2009 Annual Town Meeting appropriated $20,000 "to be expended by the Permanent Municipal Building Committee, as directed by the Town Meeting, for the purpose of funding a feasibility study for a track and field facility." The PMBC issued a Request for Qualifications and hired Gale Associates to conduct the feasibility study. Sites considered in the study were (1) the existing track parcel near the Russell Street School, (2) the football field parcel between the Russell Street School and the Middle School, and (3) the High School parcel.
Revised Study Report Issued. UPDATED - Gale Associates has issued revisions to its feasibility report on February 22, 2010. Read the cover letter, revised report narrative, and revised cost estimates.
The PMBC and Gale Associates conducted a public briefing on the results of the Track Feasibility Study Report on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 7 PM in the Community Room at the Littleton Police Headquarters, 500 Great Road. On December 17, 2009, Gale Associates, Inc. submitted its report to the PMBC.
The Discussion Continues. On Monday, March 15, 2010 at 7 PM, the Board of Selectmen will host an update on the Track Feasibility Study at a special board meeting, inviting recommendations from the Permanent Municipal Building Committee, the Littleton Track Organization, the School Committee, the Park and Recreation Commission, the Finance Committee, the Community Preservation Committee, and Highway Department on next steps.

On September 30, 2009, the PMBC voted to recommend that the football field parcel proceed to the design stage. Results of the preliminary feasibility study were presented to the Board of Selectmen on Monday, October 5, 2009.
