The Cemetery Department is planning to proceed with placing a borrowing article on the warrant at a futureTown Meeting. The article will ask the Town to allow the Cemetery Commissioners to borrow funds to design and construct an addition to the existing cemetery building.
On this web-site, items of interest will be provided in order that Littleton voters can assess the projects viability and be fully informed, thus able to vote at the May meeting knowing all the facts.
Please refer to the Business Plan. This well thought-out plan should help convince voters that this project is not only good for the cemetery but good for the town. It is unique in that the crematory returns a profit in the first year after the loan payment is paid. Therefore, there is no cost to the taxpayer.
