VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

OUTREACH DEPARTMENT: Volunteers are always needed for transportation, grocery shopping, prescription pick-up, friendly visiting, office work and much more. Contact outreach at 486-0183.

SENIOR TAX REBATE PROGRAM: Volunteer opportunities for participating taxpayers 60 years or older, in exchange for a reduction in their tax bills. Seniors may earn a maximum reduction of $500 per fiscal year.

FRIENDS OF THE LITTLETON COUNCIL ON AGING THRIFT SHOP. Looking for volunteers to work in and sort clothes and various items.

MEAL SITE: Volunteers needed to assist manager in serving, and clean up during lunch. Call Gail at 978-952-2757.

MEAL ON WHEELS : Volunteers are needed to setup meals on wheels for the drivers. Call Gail at 978-952-2757.

MEALS ON WHEELS DRIVERS: Volunteers are needed to deliver meals on wheels to the homebound. Can you commit to 3 hours per month? Please call 978-952-2362 for more information.

CABLE TELEVISION: The COA has a Program review broadcast on the local cable station. We are always looking for volunteers that have something special to share and also to produce programs. Call Barbara McRae at 978-263-7005.

The Council on Aging also addresses the social and recreational needs of our seniors. Craft classes, exercise, line dancing, watercolors, scrabble and trips of interest are provided.
