Mission:
"Our mission is the protection of life and property through a combination of emergency response and loss prevention services."
About:

The Littleton Fire Department is a combination department consisting of a full-time Chief, 1 full time Captain, 5 full-time firefighter/EMTs, a part-time administrative assistant, 6 on-call officers, 29 on-call firefighters and/or EMTs, and 2 reserve firefighters and/or EMTs. The department serves Littleton, Massachusetts, a suburban community of about 9000 residents approximately 25 miles west of Boston and located along Interstate 495. The community's composition is making a transition from agricultural to primarily residential and business. Communities adjacent to the west are much more rural while those to the east and north are considered truly suburban.

The Littleton Fire Department responded to 1317 emergency service calls in 2009. The department currently operates three engine/rescue companies, a 110’ ladder company, a rescue company, two BLS-level ambulances (supplemental ALS-level medical care is provided by Emerson Hospital paramedics, or Ayer Fire Department), a mini attack/interface engine company, a hazardous materials spill containment trailer, and various other support vehicles. The department also offers marine and cold water/ice rescue capabilities.
