Volunteers

The library welcomes volunteers of all ages.

Young children can help pick up toys in the children's room play area.

Middle School students help in the children's room and on the  Teen Advisory Board.

High School students fulfill their community service obligations in numerous ways -- helping with the Friends' book sales,  joining the Teen Advisory Board, keeping shelves in order and assisting with Summer Reading programs.

Opportunities for adults abound.  Some people shelve items that have been returned, others telephone patrons when requested materials have arrived, and still others process new materials when they arrive.  We often have special  projects.  Some adults work under the Senior Tax Program  which provides  property tax relief in return for volunteer service to the town.
