Directions to the Library
From I-495 south , take Exit 31 , turn right at the end of the ramp on to Route 119. At first traffic light, turn right onto Route 110/2A. Travel 0.5 miles. Look for Reuben Hoar Library sign on the right across from the Badger Funeral Home. The library is located in the red brick building.
From I-495 north , take Exit 30 , turn right at the end of the ramp on to Route 110/2A. Travel 0.6 miles. Look for Reuben Hoar Library sign on your left across from the Badger Funeral Home. The library is in the red brick building.
Parking is available at the side and rear of the library.
Meeting Room entrance is in the rear.
Map The library is a little further south on Shattuck Street than the map indicates.
Internet Use
The library has 8 computers for internet access. Seven are available on the main floor and one in the Curran Children's Room. Users must register at the Main Desk before using an Internet computer.
The Library also has wireless Internet connections available for those who have their own computers.
Meeting Rooms
The Library has three meeting rooms of varied sizes that are available to non-profit groups for use during normal library hours. A room may be reserved on a first come, first serve basis. Any one group may have only one reservation on the books at a time. Arrangements can be made to use the Vincent Couper Room when the library is closed. Contact a staff member for details.
Fax Machine
A fax machine is available for public use. Incoming faxes should be sent to (978) 952-2323.There is no charge for sending or receiving faxes. Staff members send the faxes for you.
Photocopier
A small copy machine is located in the library for your use. Copies are 10 cents per page.
Microform Readers
A microfiche reader and a microfilm reader are available.
Exhibition Opportunity
The Gallery Committee of the Reuben Hoar Library of Littleton invites artists to exhibit their work the Library's Art Gallery. The gallery space is available for one-person shows six months of the year. Various media is welcome, but due to the gallery’s location only framed work can be considered. Submissions may be sent beginning in May 2011 and must be in by September 8, 2011. Click here for rules for submittals. The committee will review all submitted work and set the schedule for October 2011 – June 2012. November, January and March will be used for student art from local schools. Please read the waiver before submitting a minimum of five samples of your work along with an application for review to mli@mvlc.org , or send a CD of your work along with your application and self-addressed stamped envelope for return of materials to: The Gallery Committee, c/o Reuben Hoar Library, 41 Shattuck St., Littleton, MA 01460. If necessary, the committee reserves the right to see the original artwork to obtain a better understanding of the artist's work. Reuben Hoar Library Cafe
The Friends of the Reuben Hoar Library provide coffee, tea and hot chocolate to library visitors. They ask a $1.00 donation per cup to cover their costs. Stop by and enjoy a break, a beverage, and a magazine. The cafe cart is in the Magazine area on the Main Floor.
