System RestoredThe MVLC system is back to normal. We apologize for any inconvenience the problem may have caused you. Art Gallery Works by Margaret Geanisis of Littleton are on display this month. They are chalk pastels, watercolors, and an oil of the Scottish countryside. Margaret works at the library part-time, so you might have a chance to meet the artist on one of your library visits. The gallery committee is encouraging the participation of area artists.
Used Book SaleThe Friends of the Reuben Hoar Library invite you to purchase used books, videos and music CDs . Thurs., May 15 from 2 pm - 3 pm (Free admission for members of the Friends & $10 fee for non-members) Thurs., May 15 from 3 pm - 8 pm (no fee) Fri., May 16 from 4 pm - 8 pm (no fee) Sat., May 17 from 10 am - 3 pm ($5/bag all day) All proceeds from the sale are used to provide services, programs and equipment not funded by the town budget. Memorial Day ObservanceThe library will be closed on Monday, May 26 in observance of Memorial Day. Littleton will recognize its veterans with a parade. Please Pick Up Your RequestsPlease pick up your requests in a timely fashion. The library staff and volunteers will no longer make a second phone call to remind you to pick up your requests. Items will be returned to the loaning library at the end of one week. If you need an extension of a day or two beyond the seven days, just call 978-486-4046 or email and make arrangements. Job OpportunitiesThe Library has an opening for a Library Technician starting in early June. This is a year-round, part-time position involving weekdays, evenings and Saturdays.
