Unfortunately, though victims themselves have a great deal of work to resolve their own credit problems. Victims of identity theft must act quickly and assertively to minimize the damage to their good name and credit history. When dealing with the authorities and financial institutions, it is a good idea to keep a lof of all your conversations, including dates, times, names, and phone numbers. The Littleton Police Department has put together a packet of helpful websites and phone numbers that need to be contacted should you be the victim of identity theft.
