Voting Absentee

Voting Absentee: You may vote absentee 1) if you will be absent from Town during the hours the polls are open, 2) physical disability, 3) religious belief, or 4) hospitalization.

Method of Voting Absentee : You have two options, you may vote over the counter at the Town Clerk’s office during regular business hours (contact the Town Clerk's Office for deadlines) or you may request an application and the ballot will be mailed to you. Regulations require you to file a request each year for absentee ballots, even though you have received them in the past.  You may also apply as a “family member” for someone else in your family. The absentee ballot will be mailed to you or your family member. Once you have voted you may mail the ballot back, or hand carry the ballot back to the Town Clerk.
