Taxation Aid Committee

Tax Relief for Elders and the Disabled (TREAD)

The Taxation Aid Committee is comprised of three resident members, for staggered three-year terms; to serve with the Chairman of the Assessors and Town Treasurer to administer the aid to the elderly and disabled taxation fund established by Article 9 of the November 2, 2015 Special Town Meeting Article 9, which accepted the provisions of MGL Chapter 60,§3D for the purpose of defraying the real estate taxes of elderly and disabled persons of low income.
