No permits pulled from the Clerk's Office
Asked to stop soliciting three times and still soliciting without proper permits, lied to the Clerk's Office and residents alike
ASK YOURSELF AND ANY SOLICTOR THE FOLLOWING:
Do you the solicitor have a badge from the town?
Are the solicitors being aggressive?
Will the solicitors not take no for an answer?
Do the solicitors make you feel uncomfortable?
Here are a few tips for you as a resident:
- All solicitors MUST have a badge that is provided to them through the Clerk's Office. They receive that badge only after going through steps, including but not limited to, a CORI check through LPD.
- ASK for that badge. If they don't provide that badge, ask them to leave. If they will not leave, contact the non-emergency number at the Police Department at 978-540-2300. Please notify the Clerk's Office so that we can follow up with the company, as well as the LPD.
- Don't let them in your home, especially if you are alone.
- If you feel threatened call 911.
