National Blood Donation Month
The Littleton Board of Health is promoting awareness that January is National Blood Donation Month, a time to highlight the critical need for blood donations during the winter months when donations often decline while demand remains steady.
Donating blood is quick, safe, and easy, and a single donation can help up to three people, including trauma patients, cancer patients, and individuals undergoing surgery.
If you are healthy and eligible, please consider donating blood to support local hospitals and patients in need.
Local Blood Donation Options:
- American Red Cross Blood Services: https://www.redcrossblood.org/
- Emerson Hospital Blood Donor Center: https://emersonhealth.org/locations/emerson-blood-donor-center/
- Mass General Hospital Blood Donor Center: https://www.massgeneral.org/blood-donor
- Boston Children’s Hospital Blood Donor Center: https://www.childrenshospital.org/ways-help/donate-blood
Most donation centers allow you to check eligibility and schedule an appointment online.
