Coronavirus Update 07/06/2020 - Parks and Playgrounds, Summer Programs, Long Lake, and Recreation facilities

COVID-19 Update for Littleton Parks, Recreation, and Community Education

In response to the community concerns about spread of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) The Town of Littleton and the PRCE department have adopted some policies that will be enacted today and moving forward.

  1. Effective immediately, at the direction given by the Littleton Board of Selectmen, Littleton town offices and buildings will be CLOSED to the public during this time. If you need immediate assistance please call the PRCE office during our posted normal business hours M-F.

  2. ALL PLAYGROUNDS ARE OPEN, but not cleaned or sanitzed. USE  AT YOUR OWN RISK. [Wearing masks, social distancing, and taking your trash with you is MANDATORY - If these guidelines cannot be followed the parks will be closed]

    1. King Street (Castle in the Trees and Aidan's Playground) - BASKETBALL COURTS WILL NOT REOPEN UNTIL THE COMMONWEALTH APPROVES GAME PLAY.

    3. Long Lake Beach

  3. Long Lake Beach is open to residents and non-residents with season passes. (only non-residents who have purchased season passes in previous years will be allowed to renew this summer).

 

  1. Camp Tahattawan, Teen Adventures, Sailing program, Tennis, Sports Camps, and Enrichment programs will be running this summer. 

 

  1. The department will implement any additional policy changes as indicated by the Board of Selectmen, the Board of Health, and/or the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
