King Street Senior Residential Development "Webber Village"

In January 2019, the applicant for a Senior Residential Development behind #80 King Street submitted a new application for Planning Board Special Permits. Application materials, including detailed plans are below. The Public Hearing on this new application opened on Thursday, February 7 at 7:15 p.m. in Room 103 of the Town Offices at 37 Shattuck Street. New application plans show 17 senior cottages (9 single and 8 duplex units), walking paths, community garden areas, gazebo, and 2 tennis courts. The Planning Board approved this development proposal, with conditions at their meeting on Thursday, April 4, 2019.

The Planning Board opened a Public Hearing on a Senior Residential Development proposal on Thursday, June 7, 2018; this Public Hearing continued on July 12, August 2, and to the September 13, 2018 Planning Board meeting. New plans submitted for consideration at the September 13 Public Hearing show 17 cottage-style single family homes on the parcel. Each unit would include up to 1,800 square feet of living area witn an easily accessible zero-step entrance, master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, kitchen, living room, and dining room on the ground floor. Updated plans submitted at the Sept. 20 2018 continued Public Hearing include 17 senior housing units, including 9 cottage style and 8 duplex units. Each unit would include up to 1,800 square feet of living area witn an easily accessible zero-step entrance, master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, kitchen, living room, and dining room on the ground floor. The developer has proposed that a number of units will be sold as affordable units. Amenities such as a location for shared tennis courts with the High School, walking paths, community garden with raised beds, additional sidewalks, and gazebo are now proposed.
