Alan Shethar - Photographs

October 18th to November 8th

This is an exhibition of black and white infrared photography. Mr. Shethar’s photos were taken in public parks where there is an assortment of vegetation that renders an otherworldly landscape when viewed through an infrared filter. Within this framework, his camera finds people enjoying themselves in a landscape that can often reflect their dream-like state.

Alan Shethar has been involved with photography for over forty years. His early working years were spent repairing cameras in various cities and countries. Later, he worked as a technical instructor for a number of high tech companies that manufactured Internet infrastructure equipment. Mr. Shethar has a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Science (IEEE) degree. He has lived in Littleton for over thirty years. His interest in special effects photography started with developing infrared 35mm film and evolved into shooting infrared photos with a modified Digital Single Lens (DSLR) camera.
