The Town Administrator, appointed by the Board of Selectmen for a three-year term, is the chief administrative officer of the Town government, responsible for the administration of all Town affairs placed under his authority. The Town Administrator supervisors all town departments under the purview of the Board of Selectmen, and those requested by other boards and approved by the Selectmen. By Town by-law, the Town Administrator appoints (subject to the Selectmen’s approval) the Assistant Town Administrator, the Director of Finance & Budget, Building Commissioner, Director of Public Works, Information Technology Director, Littleton Community Television Executive Director, Building Maintenance Supervisor, and Director of Elder and Human Services. The Town Administrator also appoints the Executive Assistant to the TA.
- Keith A. Bergman was appointed as Littleton's Town Administrator on September 10, 2007, and will be retiring after November 2, 2018.
- Anthony M. Ansaldi, Jr. was appointed as Littleton’s Assistant Town Administrator on February 23, 2017.
The Town Administrator represents the Town of Littleton with other local governments, with regional entities, and with the federal and state governments. Town Administrator Keith Bergman currently serves as President of the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC), has chaired MAPC’s Minuteman Advisory Group on Interlocal Coordination (MAGIC) subregion, and serves as Littleton’s representative on the CrossTown Connect Transportation Management Association board of directors, the Montachusett Regional Transit Authority (MART) Advisory Board, and chairs MART’s Finance Committee.
