The Transfer Station will be closed on Independence Day, July 4, 2020.

ANNOUNCEMENT

USE SOCIAL DISTANCING.  KEEP A SAFE DISTANCE FROM TRANSFER STATION
 ATTENDANTS (AT LEAST 6 FT) AND USERS AT ALL TIMES.

DO NOT ENTER THE TRANSFER STATION SHED.

DO NOT LINGER ON THE PREMISES.

REDEMPTION CENTER IS STILL CLOSED

Starting May 19th 2020 the Transfer Station will be fully operational with the exception of the Swap Shop which will remain closed.  The Transfer Station will again begin accepting leaves and grass clippings (see information below). To reduce the hand to hand contact we will only be accepting Debit/Credit Cards for payment at this time.  The transfer station hours will be Saturday 8:00 a.m.to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m

Starting the week of May 26th the Transfer Station will return to their normal hours of operation Saturday 8:00 a.m.to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  We will only be accepting Debit/Credit Cards and Checks for payment at this time.  Credit card and debit card payments will be assessed an additional fee as listed below.

Fees are assessed by the credit card company.  The Town does not control the fee and cannot waive the fee.

All Residents will need to have a Transfer Station Sticker to use the facility.  Stickers are available at the Attendants building.

LEAVES AND GRASS CLIPPINGS ACCEPTED
The Transfer Station will again begin accepting leaves, grass clippings and brush/logs.  The material does NOT need to be in compostable bags.

DEVENS HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE FACILITY - Open the first Wednesday and the following Saturday 9:00 AM - 1:00 p.m., except for holidays & weather permitting. Littleton is participating in the regional facility at Devens for disposal of household hazardous waste. The facility provides better management of Household Hazardous Waste - the regional service makes it easier for residents to properly dispose of toxic waste, provides additional protection to drinking water supplies, and delivers operational and financial savings to the participating municipalities.

  • The discontinuance of the Recycling Only Stickers began on October 1, 2011.
  • Senior Citizen stickers available for individuals 60 years old or older.

Household Goods, Inc. - Provides a full range of donated furniture and household items, free of charge, to help people in need make a home. Household Goods accepts donations of clean, usable furniture and household items on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to noon at 530 Main Street, Acton, MA. Please visit the above link for more information.
