Regulations

  • All burials and removals in Charlotte's Garden will be under the direct supervision of the Cemetery Superintendent. Burials on weekdays only between 8 am to 2 pm, unless special arrangements are made.
  • The Superintendent will, upon application, furnish to persons who desire to purchase lots, information relative to costs of lots and other conditions upon which interments may be made.
  • Only cremains will be accepted for burial in Charlotte's Garden.
  • Only lawn-level memorials are permitted. All memorials must be approved by the Cemetery Superintendent. All memorials sold by the cemetery are complete with installation. All memorials purchased from another source will be subject to an installation charge. The cemetery reserves the right to restrict the use of any memorial. No temporary ornaments or memorials will be permitted.
  • Flat markers on cremation lots are limited to 8 inches wide by 8 inches long. If multiple adjacent lots are purchased, the size of the markers may be increased with the permission of the Superintendent. On larger lots, the markers can be 8 inches by 16 inches.
  • No plantings whatsoever shall be permitted. Live flowers may be put on top of the graves but will be removed at the next grass mowing or when they wilt or lose their beauty, whichever comes first. Any ornaments or decorations placed on a grave will be removed at next mowing and set into the reserve area.
  • Curbings, corner posts, buttresses, wooden structures, mounds over graves or any cans or similar articles are not permitted.
  • All work done in the cemetery will be done by cemetery personnel only.
  • All money due, including opening charges, shall be paid to the Cemetery Superintendent prior to opening the grave.
  • Only one set of ashes allowed in a 1-foot-by-1-foot cremation lot. Up to 4 sets of ashes may be interred in the larger 2'by 2'lots.
  • The Superintendent is empowered, authorized and required by the Commissioners to enforce these rules and regulations and any additions or changes thereto as may later occur.
  • Charlotte's Garden is open from dawn to dusk.
