The Town Clerk's Office issues dog licenses to people who own or keep a dog in the Town of Littleton.
- Town Bylaw/MGL C140 requires that all dogs over 6 months old must be licensed.
- Licenses are issued annually and are valid for the calendar year.
- In order to obtain an annual license, an owner must provide a valid anti-rabies vaccination certificate
- Dogs must be licensed prior to April 1st every year.
- Dogs licensed after April 1st are subject to an additional cost (see below)
- New dogs to your household evidenced by birth/adoption record are not subject to additional cost after April 1st
- The owner or keeper of any dog found unlicensed in the Town may be fined $25 per offense.
