  • Placing Markers on historic houses, building and places;
  • Maintaining a file of historic houses surveyed by a professional preservationist;
  • Respond to requests for information about historical areas;
  • Protecting sensitive historic sites from degradation;
  • Make appropriate suggestions to the Board of Selectmen and other Town boards about protecting and preserving historic sites and areas of Littleton.

Annual Event:

Littleton Patriot’s Day Celebration - The Littleton Historical Commission invites you to the celebration of Patriot’s Day each April 19 at 7 p.m. at Liberty Square. Rain or shine. The Boxborough Minutemen will join us if they are victorious in their early morning battle with the British in Concord. They can tell us personally about the heated bloody battle and the difficulty in chasing the British back to Boston. Historical Commission Chair and a Selectman will give us their brief impressions of the importance of Patriot’s Day. There will be a brief retelling of the story of the Liberty Pole, a recognition of descendents of minutemen and of people dressed in period clothes.
