Committee For The Exploration Of Real Estate Tax Relief For Seniors

At their July 25, 2022 Select Board Meeting, the Littleton Select Board voted unanimously to establish the “Committee for the Exploration of Real Estate Tax Relief for Seniors”. The committee was formed to:

  • Seek solutions to the property tax struggles for senior citizens
  • Investigate the approaches of other Massachusetts municipalities 
  • Support senior citizen property tax relief legislation at the state house
  • Seek the support of other similar committees throughout the Commonwealth
  • Better educate the public concerning existing exemptions

The Committee consists of 5 members to be appointed by the Select Board:

  • 2 Citizen-at-Large members
  • 1 representative from the COA (Council on Aging) Board
  • 2 members from the Select Board
